The long awaited renovation of Bata Uchumi Ngong' Road was finalised on Saturday,20th. February,2010. The shop which is classified as a City Store is located in Uchumi Supermarket along Ngong' Road. The shop dates back to 2001 and has been mainly constrained by its small size which was below 1,000 square feet,limiting the number of lines and variety that the store could hold.
The new - look store has a mezanine incorporated,allowing the ground floor(now measuring 1100 square feet) to serve exclusively as the Selling Area. The shop was officially re-opened on Thursday,25th.February,2010 by Bata Kenya M.D. Mr. Nasir Rafique,accompanied by the Retail Manager Ms. Agnes Murila and other members of the Sales team.
The shop could not have re-opened at a better time as it coincided with the start of the "Bata Irresistible Sale" set to run till early April. The store has already created a lot of excitement due to its apparent increase in selling area,improved lighting and variety of merchandise.
