The Mwea Marathon was held over the weekend on Saturday,11th. September,2010 at Wang’uru Township. The event attracted professional and amateur athletes from around the country.
Bata Shoe Company was involved in this event, with Shoe Gift vouchers being presented to some of the winning participants. The event also afforded the Company an opportunity to showcase some of its flagship brands that include Power, Toughees and Safari.
Elsewhere, on the same day, Bata Kenya sponsored an event at Joystep School who had held a talent show at their school grounds. Participants were high school students from the school and neighbouring schools. Winners were awarded Bata gift vouchers of various denominations.
