In a Bata Kenya social media contest held recently, to participate, one was required to share a life lesson they had learnt from their mother.
The contest dubbed Mama knows best sought participation from Bata Kenya's Twitter and Facebook fans. For Facebook, fans had to post on the our Facebook page wall, one life lesson they had learnt from their mum that they still live by to date. For Twitter, to participate you had to tweet something your mother had impacted on you, using the hashtag #mamaknowsbest.

The contest took part between 6th May and 9th May 2011. Winners were awarded last week with Bata gift vouchers to get their mum something from Bata, for Mothers Day, much to their delight.
Earlier on, there had been another Facebook contest on the Bata Kenya page, where two winners a lady and a gentleman, each won a pair of shoes. The contests were well received and appreciated by the fans.
