Mrs Monica Pignal Bata accompanied by her husband Dr. Regis Pignal visited Bata Kenya last week. While she was here, she was engaged in numerous activities.
Mrs. Bata, who is the grand daughter to Bata shoe company founder, Tomas Bata, was involved in a weeklong meeting of the Bata Children’s Program coordinators from around the world , with whom she participated in various BCP activities.
She was taken on a guided tour around the factory and was impressed by the developments in the factory since she was last in Kenya.

The hallmark of her visit was the Bata Kenya long service award ceremony for which she was the chief guest.
