A farewell party was held for Mr. Michel Jeannoutot who until last month was the Bata Kenya Production manager. The farewell dinner attended by the MD Mr. Rafique and various management staff, was held at Sankara Hotel on the evening of 31st March 2011.
Mr Jeannoutot has worked in the Bata Shoe Organisation for almost 40 years, having joined Bata in 1972. He has worked in several Bata companies allover the world and joined Bata Kenya in 2004 as Production Manager.
In his brief farewell speech, he was grateful for the time he had spent in Bata and wished well those he was leaving behind. He noted that he had witnessed a steady growth in production through the years, with the factory now producing 30 million pairs annually. He was optimistic about the continued growth in production even in years to come.
