A team from Bata Kenya joined other stakeholders and Gisma Group in a campaign dubbed “Natembea” where they visited Kyaume Primary School in Tala , Machakos County. The guest of honour was Ms Julie Gichuru.
Each pupil received a brand new pair of shoes. This will go a long way in improving the self esteem of the pupils and most importantly, reduce the jigger menace which is among the problems they face in the school.
900 pairs of shoes were donated that day.
