Week 12 saw the opening of 3 new Nakumatt branches – Nanyuki, Kakamega and Eldoret. Bata has forged an enviable partnership,with Nakumatt, with 10 Bata stores operating in various Nakumatt branches countrywide. This partnership has been further enhanced by the addition of Nanyuki and Eldoret branches,with Kakamega 3 store just adjacent Nakumatt Kakamega entrance at the Holden Mall.
The Nakumatt Nanyuki Bata was the first to be opened on 10th. March, while Kakamega 3 shop that has been trading since December 2009 was ‘officially’ opened on 11th. March, coinciding with the opening of Nakumatt Kakamega. Nakumatt Eldoret Bata is the latest entrant in this partnership, having opened its doors on 16th. March ,2010. The latter is a 24 hour branch in Eldoret Town and the Bata section in this branch has put in measures for round the clock operations, similar to Nakumatt Mega and Prestige. Both Eldoret and Kakamega stores are classified as City stores while the Nanyuki shop is categorized Family.
