A two days training program – Store Operations Management Course, was conducted for the third and last group of 24 shop Managers, on 21st and 22nd June 2010 at the Bata training Centre. Previously, some other two groups of 25 managers each, had attended the same training on the 19th and 20th of April 2010 and on 15th and 16th February .The course was aimed at increasing the store managers’ knowledge in the product, visual merchandising, customer service, stock control, performance control and people management and it was facilitated by the merchandising, Retail and Human resources departments.

In an effort  to improve customer service in the stores, 55 sales staff from Nairobi region were taken through the Bata 5 step program on 14th and 15th June 2010.The sales staff stated that the training equipped them with the much needed skills and knowledge that will help them surpass the customer expectations in the services they offer.

All newly recruited employees from various departments were recently taken through a two days training program – Know Your Company. The program was aimed at exposing them to BSO(Bata Standards Organization) operations and procedures as well as effective communication and customer care.
